Infinity Pool is a sound piece made by Ja Ja Ja Nee Nee Nee, as part of the group exhibition 2 Unlimited in the Summer of 2018 at de Appel in Amsterdam. 2 Unlimited was an exhibition in and about Amsterdam, featuring people, objects and ideas currently residing in the city. 2 Unlimited was set in the current age of ultra–development and mass tourism, and considered homegrown artistic practices as critical and analytical tools.
This audio piece has been a collaborative writing and recording project between Arif Kornweitz and myself, as co-founders of Ja Ja Ja Nee Nee Nee Nee. For the narration Sophia Seawell joined us. Together, our three voices weave a fabric, merging current urban developments, descriptions of architecture and the sense of some of the (artistic) lives that are lived within these surroundings. The work has been showed in an old classroom at 'de Lely' building, in combination with an installation by Antonis Pittas.
